Publishing Your Photobook Workshop

Want to get your photobook published? Come to this two hour workshop at Photobook/NZ in August and learn how to court a photobook publisher and how to run a successful self publishing campaign.

Using examples drawn from their wide industry knowledge and personal experience our workshop leaders will provide valuable insight into the hard part of getting your book into the world.

Featuring:

Morganna Magee, leading Australian photobook maker and co-director of Tall Poppy Press, which publishes excellent Australian photography, and collaborations between Australian and non-Australian artists. Tall Poppy takes their books to the world's art fairs and distributes internationally.

Haru Sameshima, director of Tāmaki Makaurau's Rim Books and long time successful publisher of photobooks in Aotearoa. Last year Rim Books received significant Creative New Zealand funding to publish five art books on photography, some of which will be at our bookfair.

Tim J. Veling who successfully self published personal photobooks before getting his book Dad, Pete, Opa. about his father's death from cancer accepted by XYZ Books of Portugal and distributed internationally.
